Research Experience:

Manuel G. Penedo is an Professor of the Department of Computation of the Faculty of Informatics in the University of Coruña, Spain, where he has been since 1991. He got his PhD in Physics, in 1997, in the University of Santiago de Compostela. He is currently Director of the research center and also coordinates the VARPA Research Group (Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition) and he also is responsible for the area of medical image processing at the Institute of Biomedical Research of A Coruña (INIBIC).He is author of over 200 papers in international books, journals and conference proceedings. Belongs to various international scientific comitees (journals and conferences).
