Dr. Guo's research areas include computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, and computer-aided detection and diagnosis. He is an outstanding researcher and has a lot of accomplishments. By now, he has published 1 book, 95 journal papers, and 29 conference papers. 4 papers were listed in the ScienceDirect Top25 Hottest Articles due to their number of downloads. Dr. Guo won an award from the Caryl Towsley Moy Endowed Fund for Collaborative Research as co-principal investigator in 2016, Competitive Scholarly Research Grant in 2018, Distinguished Achievement and Honorary Membership of Neutrosophic Science International Association (NISA) in 2018, Scholarly Enhancement Award in 2018, Illinois Capital Innovation Competition Awards in 2018. Dr. Guo was invited to work as an associate editor for 5 international journals and a guest editor for 4 journals. He was also invited to be a reviewer for several top journals and conferences.
