A.Prof. Aboozar Jamalnia, Department of Operations Management and Information Technology, Faculty of Management,  Kharazmi University, Tehran, Iran


Research Area:

Utilising Operations Research techniques such as mathematical programming, simulation and Bayesian networks in modelling and analysing Operations Management problems including sustainable supply chain management, supply chain risk management, energy management, healthcare operations management and production planning and control, and providing business insights for decision makers.


Research Experience:

Dr Aboozar Jamalnia received his MSc in Industrial Management from Shiraz University, Iran in 2008 and his PhD in Operations Management from Alliance Manchester Business School, The University of Manchester, UK in 2017 where he was awarded a four-year, full-scholarships to study the PhD. His MSc thesis received Outstanding MSc Thesis Award at Department of Industrial Management of Shiraz University. He has been working as Assistant Professor in Operations Management/Management Science at Faculty of Management of Kharazmi University, Iran since February 2018.

His primary research interests lie in the interface between Operations Research and Operations Management, which include applying Operations Research techniques such as simulation, mathematical programming and Bayesian networks to study Operations Management problems, especially supply chain management, energy management, healthcare operations management and production planning and control in order to provide managerial insights to decision makers.

Dr Jamalnia’s recent research has been published in journals like Production Planning & Control, Computers & Industrial Engineering, Journal of Manufacturing Systems and The International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology.

He has reviewed several papers for journals such as European Journal of Operational Research, Applied Mathematical Modelling, Computers & Industrial Engineering and Journal of The Franklin Institute.
